Ask your mom or dad at home to take you to the Mobile Technology Lab. Use a computer, camera, video recorder, and other materials to send a special message just to your brave soldier. Call Barbara Kessler at (315) 788-8450, ext. 232 for more information.
4-H Military Clubs provide military youth opportunities to be actively involved in 4-H Clubs and programs on bases and in communities where they live. It is a partnership of National 4-H Headquarters, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Army Child and Youth Services, and the U.S. Air Force Family Member Programs. Operation: Military Kids (OMK) is the U.S. Army’s group effort with America’s communities to support children and youth impacted by deployment. Some of the trainings they offer include the Junior Deployment Briefing – which prepares 1st through 12th graders for their parent’s impending deployment. Operation: Boots On and Operation: Boots Off also teaches youth about the deployment cycle, reunion and reintegration process.
